Welcome to clearmountain sourcing

Low cost sources are not confined to one country, nor is the need for low cost components restricted to large companies.  India, China, ASIAN and Eastern Europe hold different advantages and disadvantages for manufacturers and distributers around the world.   Small and middle sized companies need lower cost components in order to keep their primary assembly and fabrication lines open.

CMS provides supply chain services for companies who wish to take advantage of the many low cost options that exist worldwide without taking on the considerable expense of maintaining offices in Shanghai, Mumbai, Singapore and Warsaw.  Instead, we serve as your office -  we guide you through requirements listings and present a range of options with all relevant facts so that you can decide what source to select.

ClearMountain Sourcing was founded in 2001 by a group of Americans and Chinese from the Crane, Elevator and Air Conditioning industries who felt that clients had grown in sourcing sophistication and neither needed, nor desired, to source through traditional middlemen who were primarily manufacturing representatives and often obscured the sources of the products they provided.  Instead CMS would represent the customer with fully transparent transactions and not relying on “special relationships” which serve the supplier more than the customer.  Three years later, CMS recognized the need to expand the sourcing base in order to provide a wider range of low cost sources and established representative offices in Eastern Europe, India, Taiwan and Singapore.

The core of the founding team were quality professionals.  The team’s understanding has always been that it is easy to find cheap parts around the world; the challenge is in finding ones that have quality levels.
